Here’s What We Can Do Together in 90 Minutes

(A love letter to everyone whose email marketing has been sitting on the to-do list since last March.)

You have a list. You have offers. You have ideas — actually, you probably have too many ideas, which might be part of the problem. What you don’t have is a finished, scheduled email that’s out in the world doing its job.

And yet the gap between “I should really send something” and “send” feels enormous. Like there’s a whole production required before you’re allowed to just… email the people on your list.

There isn’t. I promise. And I can prove it to you in 90 minutes.

What the Email Strategy Session Actually Is

My Email Strategy Session is a 90-minute live working session: you and me on Google Meet, where we write and (finish!) whatever email project has been sitting on your list. We get in and fix it so you leave with more emails in your sent folder than in your drafts.

Before we meet, you fill out a quick prep form so I know exactly where you’re blocked. That way we’re not spending the first 20 minutes yapping about what’s going on and we can actually start solving in the first couple minutes.

When you’re working with someone who already knows what they’re doing, 90 minutes is a surprisingly long time. It’s not like starting from scratch as someone who serves their clients instead of writing emails all day. That’s what I do!

What We Can Realistically Tackle in One Session

I get this question a lot so I want to be super specific. Here are the kinds of things we’ve actually accomplished in a single Email Strategy Session:

Write (and finish) a welcome sequence

If your welcome sequence is nonexistent, outdated (good ones look different than they did in 2021), or currently just a single “hi! thanks for signing up! ok, bye!” message (with the sad little exclamation point), this is the highest-ROI email you can possibly write and send. And we can easily tackle it together in 90 minutes.

Only about 58% of businesses send even a single welcome email to new subscribers — and that 58% skews heavily toward B2C and product-based businesses. (We’ve all gotten those “use code WELCOME20 for 20% off” emails.) And that’s a shame. The open rate for the first in a series of welcome emails my new subscribers get stays around 75%. And it goes out to every new subscriber, automatically, right when they’re most interested in hearing from me. Think about yourself signing up for someone’s emails. You don’t sign up because you love getting emails. You sign up because at that moment, you think that person or that business has something to offer that might make your life a little easier. When someone opts in and it’s crickets from you, it’s likely that when you pop in to sell them something three weeks later, their first thought will be “Who even is this?”

Spending 90 minutes with me, mapping out and writing a three to five email welcome sequence, and even getting it ready to load into your ESP, is an excellent use of your time and your money.

Build a launch email sequence

If you’ve got something launching soon and the thought of writing six to eighteen emails makes you want to reschedule the launch indefinitely, I just want you to know you’re absolutely not alone! We’ve all been there. It took me literal weeks to finish the launch emails for one of my freebies.

Working together, we can map the sequence strategy together first (what each email needs to accomplish, in what order), then write as much copy as we can fit in the time. You’ll leave with either a complete sequence or a very clear, nearly-done draft that you can finish in an afternoon instead of a month.

Map your nurture strategy

It’s very possible that you don’t have a specific email problem — it could be that you just don’t have a plan. You know you should be emailing consistently. But you have no idea what to say or how often, and the uncertainty is what’s keeping you from doing it at all. We can fix that. We’ll map out a realistic email strategy based on your offers, your audience, and your actual capacity — so you know exactly what to send and why. I know from experience what a relief it can be to finally have a plan in place. The mental space it frees up can be used for client work, creating a new offer, or watching reality tv — no judgment here!

Why Working Together Is Faster Than Working Alone

There’s something that happens when you’re trying to write about your own business: your brain rebels. You second-guess every word. You wonder if it’s too salesy or not salesy enough. You rewrite the opening line six times. Your inner editor is LOUD. Then you close the laptop and tell yourself you’ll come back to it in 5 to 7 business days.

(Fun fact: I used to call my bitchy inner editor — the voice who stayed criticizing every word — Kelly. It sounds bananas but I would sometimes literally say “Shut UP, Kelly!” out loud.)

When someone else is working with you, thinking with you, that loop breaks. The words come faster and you’re able to talk through what you mean. Then I help you turn it into copy that sounds like you — just more polished, more intentional, and more likely to get results. I’ve written thousands of emails. I know what works. And I know how to pull the good stuff out of your head without making it feel like an interrogation. (After all, I did used to be a school teacher.)

You don’t need to be a good writer for this to work. You just need to show up with your biggest email roadblock, and we’ll handle the rest.

What You’ll Leave With

At the end of our 90-minute session, you’ll be ready to hit send on the emails that have been keeping you from getting all the benefits of email. Whatever was blocking you will be unblocked. I’ll also send you a summary of our session within 48 hours — something to refer to when you can’t quite recall how we did something. And you’ll have a 7-day window after the session to ask follow-up questions, get tweaks, or check in about anything that comes up when you’re loading things into your platform.

What I really want you to walk away with is momentum. There’s no high quite like the high that comes from finally having the thing done that’s been living on your to-do list for three months.

Is This for You?

The Email Strategy Session is a good fit if:

•  You have emails to write and you keep… not writing them — a welcome sequence, a launch campaign, a nurture series that's been half-done for months.

•  You’ve been putting off your email marketing because it feels overwhelming and you need someone to sit with you while you do it.

•  You’re not ready for a full retainer but you need more than a template or a course.

•  You want to spend your time actually getting something done, not just creating a list of action items.

The investment is $350 for a 90-minute hands-on session that unblocks your highest-priority email problem and comes with 7 days of follow-up support.

Ready to Finally Hit Send?

Your list is there. Your ideas are ready. The only thing missing is 90 minutes and someone who knows what they’re doing.

Book your session today. And if you already know you need more support, I offer that, too.
